Kintsukuroi - An Animated Short

The story is about a couple living together. The girl has 'cracks' of the relationsships she hed been in and she's too afraid of his reaction to show him or speak about it. So she hides the little cracks she has. But hiding them she hurts the man and also herself even more. It gets worse every day and they even start fighting about it.
One big fight finally hurts the girl so much the cracks run up to her face and a little part is falling out. She runs away but her boyfriend comes after her and tries to fix it. It does not work. But he shows her that he also has cracks and that it is nothing to be ashamed of.
This is the turning in their relationsship. The secrets are gone and they can live like before.
But a piece is still missing. So the man decides to take a piece of himself to fix her.
Through that selfless act the piece magically fits into her face and she on her side gets the missing piece of her and by that fixes his whole.
Done by frame to frame animation - 12 frames per second.
A project within the college course of Film and Animation at the TH Nürnberg.
